We've put up a handy article should help you work through the connection problems on Android: https://ridebeeline.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001896745-How-do-I-pair-my-Beeline-with-my-Android-phone-

Hopefully this will. If you get stuck please let us know.

Thanks so much for detailed bug report. We've not seen this problem before on our end. We'll see if we can reproduce the problem here and investigate.

For now, one thing to try would be unpairing the Beeline from Android's Bluetooth settings and from the Beeline, then doing the setup again from Settings in the Beeline app. The app should connect to your Beeline automatically as soon you open it.

    Hi,

since the w/e,  I am able to set a rout on the phone,  when I click the up arrow ,  the beeline stays at the b screen.

I tried un pairing then re pairing but still the same behaviour,.  I am able to troubleshoot if that's helpful?

    Hi,

Thank you for the connection guide.  I took the upgrade yesterday and things seemed much more responsive.  Initial pairing and connection were snappy and although the app took a little time to pick up my saved locations,  they were uploaded & finished as expected.

This morning,  I tried the same but without success. I only had 15 mins before work but wen through your guide to reconnect.  The bluetooth pairing was OK,  location was on on the phone,  however the connection remains a problem.

I tried then unpaired.  When I tried to pair again by setup from the app it did not find the beeline,  no message.  I then went from where to? on the beeline to the B screen.   Setup still couldn't find the beeline as before.  The I ran out of time..

Unfortunately, the Nexus 4 is known to have connection issues with Bluetooth Low Energy. This bug is being tracked in Android here: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=41631

Once you're paired to your Beeline you should never need to unpair or go through the set up process again. You open the app and it will connect to your Beeline within a few seconds. (Although it can take around a minute occasionally on some phones.)

To get paired up, make sure the Beeline is not paired in Android's Bluetooth settings. Turn off Bluetooth, turn on Bluetooth then go to the Beeline app and tap "SET UP" in Settings. If this bit fails it should prompt you to try again a few times. Once you've done that you should never need to go through the pairing process again.

Hi Chet,  thanks for your tips.  there's good and bad

    the good first :)

When the beeline is first paired,  all seems well for the amount I use it say two or so hours.  New destinations are accepted and beeline receives fairly well consistently.

    the bad:

the next morning its very hard to get it all going again.  I took your note about not unpairing.  So I do this:

Start beeline app and click the Bluetooth icon  there

It goes into setup and then gives the already connected message I posted initially

Go into scratchy troubleshooting mode cause it's early in the morning.  This usually involves: switch Bluetooth off and back into beeline app,  rinse repeat until it talks to the beeline.  This process takes more that 20 mins currently.

We've been doing some testing on the Nexus 4 and unfortunately it seems the phone refuses to remember pairing with a Beeline. We're doing more testing to see what we can do about this.

Thanks for all the feedback so far!
