So I just finished an 18km drive and although Google Fit had no issues logging that, Beeline failed me quite miserably on 2 points.
1. Calibration from hell. After 6 attempts to calibrate and looking like an idiot waving my wheel around for no apparent reason in the middle of a busy pavement, I just had to give up. The magnet icon had disappeared, even though no confirmation showed that calibration had worked. Screw it, I know the way, I just felt like logging the ride and finally seeing my Beeline do some actual work. During the ride, it wanted to calibrate, then was fine, then wanted to calibrate again, etc.
2. About halfway through, the whole thing just disconnects. Open up the app and everything starts working again, and at first glance all seems to be logged from the beginning (I'm cycling, so no stopping). 15' later same story, except it visibly only restored from where it disconnected the first time.
That's really a shame.
If anyone has any hints on why either things happened, I'm open to suggestions.
In the meantime, bit bummed, especially since the Beeline didn't like to stay calibrated on my previous bike either. Maybe it's just a faulty unit?
Cynical me is thinking I should have just opened Strava directly...
