first of all, thanks for this neat little thingy. I love the design and I think it will become my favorite navigation utility, if you could improve the reliability of the direction pointer. - I tried it out today and I found that the compass (even I calibrated it as good as possible several times) was not always accurate. Sometimes it was even pointing over 90 degree into wrong direction.
Other android apps (e.g. oruxmaps, which offers also this kind of beeline navigation) have an option to not only use the magnetic compass as reference, but also GPS motion to detect in which direction you are facing while you're moving. My proposal would be to add an option to the APP which allows to use the calculated north of GPS while you're moving. Maybe above a certain speed, like 15km/h, when you anyhow can't do hard and fast handlebar movements anymore. Further improvement of this would then be to constantly re-calibrate the compass while you're traveling using the GPS direction.
