I tried my moto for the first time this evening. Admittedly there's things I have to get used to, so some of this is don to me not reading it properly - but still....
I plotted a route from my home in Birmingham to the Wyre Forest reserve. I know some of the route really well and some not so well. I knew there was a road closure on the route so I wanted to see how Moto handled that (I knew the diverted route well so I knew where I was going at that point anyway) Rerouting *seemed* to go well - but as I got closer to the Wyre forest, it told me to go straight ahead at a roundabout - but there was no roundabout symbol. Just a dot straight ahead - which changed as i went across to the roundabout to suggest I had to go right (only 2 exits). Didn't seem to reroute it just carried on.
A while later I realised I was nowhere near Wyre forest (but should have been at that point). When I checked the journey after getting home - it seemed to have routed me right round Kidderminster and back towards home (possibly back towards the closed road?) And then directed me towards home - until I got near home and then it wanted me to go off somewhere else (no idea where!).
I'm going to try again tomorrow, same route but with the diversion planned in this time, just to see what happened.......but if I hadn't known any of that route I would have got very lost!
And either way - it took me near the destination...but not to it - any ideas?
ps: I think it's a pretty cool device, I suspect some of this may be user error/being unfamiliar with it, but it definitely routed me away from my destination and back home on what was supposed to be a one way trip.
