I started a new thread in order to get a more positive headline.
I had troubles with non-responsive up and down buttons on my Beeline (right and left buttons worked ok) so I thought it was a hardware issue. The device seemed to miss a waypoint and didn't respond when I tried to manually go to the next waypoint - and then asked if I would end the ride - but still I could neither end nor dismiss, the buttons still didn't respond.
But after trying in vain for hours to get it to funktion I uninstalled the app in desperation, just to do anything else. After reinstallation it was as if I had got a new Beeline, everything suddenly worked perfect, even the Strava upload which hadn't worked for months, the buttons reacted at once to a light pressure, pairing was immediate etc!
Can anyone explain how a software problemet can simulate a hardware failure? And as the app updates frequently, why doesn't an update solve such a problem?
Anyway, the lesson must be: never give up!
