I must admit to being a new Beeline-r, but I've had a good read through a lot of the comments on both the feedback and Suggestions pages and have to say that, whilst a lot of the ideas are great, I also feel that they detract from the uniqueness of the product.
There are a number of other bike GPS suppliers out there (including the one that everybody knows) and they offer a good product, but all of those products are, at the moment, pretty different to Beeline and that is why I went with Beeline. I like the things that Beeline offers over the other products. I fear that, if implemented, a lot of the suggestions could end up turning the Beeline into a different type of product.
For me, at least, connections with external sensors, sharing routes (and then, logically, sections of routes), more information, more data detracts from the simplicity of the product, which is the reason I bought it. It's like buying a fixie and then asking for gears and a rear brake to be put on it. Fine, have a front brake as that improves the experience, but doesn't detract from it's soul. I hope that any "improvements" to the product don't detract from its soul. It's all about just getting out and riding your bike in generally the direction you need.
I love the Beeline concept and its realisation; maybe as the company grows, it could develop a different type of product that does provide every metric under the sun, but I will be sticking to the current one.
I wish everyone at Beeline every success for the future
