    "...

Thanks for getting in touch and for backing Beeline Moto. We're making good progress and are very nearly there! In our latest update (here) we shared our latest progress and said that we would send the next update as soon as we hear that the first batch has touched down in the UK.

We know from past shipments that it gets frustrating for everyone if we share every tidbit of information surrounding shipping, so we have decided to stick to that, even though it has taken a little longer than expected. We should be sending that email this week! The second and metal batches are both on track to arrive in the next few weeks.

great news, looks like they are on the way then. Were you a kickstart backer or just a regular pre-order?

Ross - I'd also like to know if you were a kickstarter or an pre order customer? Did you get a dispatch email or did it just turn up?

I was a kickstarter backer - yes I got a dispatch mail (Friday I think) and it arrived on Monday.

Mount is fitted and I'll be using for my commute tomorrow morning.

Förjävligt att Beeline inte kan klämma ur sej när dom kan leverera! Första leverans skulle vara i mars eller april, nu har snart halva juli gått och inte ett jävla ljud från Beeline!!!

There's a comment over on the kickstarter page that states everyone who has yet to receive a moto will be in batch two, but what if you've pre-ordered like I have?

@Beeline are we in batch two also?

So one of the first backers yet unlikely to receive mine by the end of this riding season. I’m in Canada so batch two? When will that be. Trying to stay patient but it gets harder with month after month after month of delays. Go over to the kickstarter page and read the comments there. Even those lucky few who have received theirs (six months late) aren’t happy. My first kickstarter experience has been a bust so far...oh and growing tired of the lame “be patient there is only ten of us responses.” Maybe should have used some of the huge amount of kickstarter funds you generated to hire sufficient staff to get the project out on time...or at least within six month of the supposed shipping date. How has your poor planning become my problem?

Hey everyone! Yes, that is correct - if you haven't received a dispatch email that means that you are in batch two. We're expecting to receive this in the next couple of weeks and have our fulfilment providers primed and ready to send out all of the units as quickly as possible.

We really, really appreciate all of your support. Some of you have commented that you have received similar messages in emails and on the posts - we'd love to make every message more personal but we're just 10 people (doing everything from the developing to the designing to the customer support) and are quite overwhelmed at the moment so sometimes we have to copy and paste to be able to get back to everyone.

We are excited as any of you to get them out and expect to have them with/on their way to all of you (whether you are batch two, metal batch, a Kickstarter backer or a pre-orderer) in the next few weeks. Thank you for bearing with us - we are doing the very best that we can.

    Cheers,

    Kate

P.S. @Tim the delays have been so that we can make what we know are important improvements to the hardware - the backlight, the buttons and the waterproofing (as we've explained in our updates). We have been building a product that we are confident will be great not only this riding season but for many more to come :). Thank you all, again, for joining us for the ride

Product development is not a linear nor a fully predictable process. On top of that, Kickstarter projects are often not business as usual. As a backer you state you want to be part of this unpredictable journey because you believe in the team and the product. I am part of the beta tester team and could witness the steep rate of improvements over the past time. Although we tested protos, the devices have been robust from the first day onwards. As a product developer by profession, I can only have respect for what the team has and is achieving. I think the product is awesome and will even get better in future. If you look for full predictability you should not be a backer. Having critesism is easy, bringing such a great product to mass product is hard.

First ride on the mbike and worked great except it only tells you at the last min when to turn. If I was going faster than 40 I would have missed the turning.
I know it shows you the countdown but I can’t be constantly looking at the display. Especially tricky if you have multiple roads on the same side. A Bluetooth connection to my helmet would be useful....🤔🤔👍

Yeah I have to agree with Geoff - I very rarely ride so slow that Moto's last minute turn advice would be of any use.
500m warning of the upcoming turn would be very handy! My ABS is good but not that bloody good!

During testing I had the problem that Beeline was lagging behind massively. It turned out to be linked to my Fitbit watch. Solution was to unpair Beeline, have the Fitbit app active and the pair Beeline again. This solved it for once and for all. Beeline should be pretty much keeping up with you no matter how fast you go. Could this be linked to the problem you experience?

@Geoff and @Floss - that sounds quite strange. Just to make sure it's clear (and apologies if I'm over explaining!!), the distance is counting you down to a turn, and the dot is indicating the direction to head in at that turn, so you should have lots of warning... are you finding that the distance to the turn is inaccurate?

On the timing of the main arrow, there is definitely some tuning we can do on the timing if needed so very open to feedback!

    Thanks,

    Mark

The countdown to the turn is ok but as it’s quite small text, the arrow is more of a visual guide. I’ve almost been on top of a turn when the arrow has then changed which was too late. Don’t want to have to make constant U turns to get back on track. A 100 -150m notification would be useful I think.

Hey @Geoff - can you see the dot at the edge of the screen? That is the dot which will tell you the direction of the next turn (and the text gives you a countdown to it), so you can prepare a bit earlier :). Please give us a shout at support@beeline.co if you have any questions! - Kate

Did anyone receive a shipment notification / tracking code for the second batch?

I am leaving for (motorbike) vacation this Saturday and I am depending on this navigation device. Any idea how long it takes to send the Beeline Moto from the UK to the Netherlands?

This is probably the worst company I've bought from! There are no excuses for this bad response, now it has been 5 months since the promised delivery! I expect some kind of compensation for this delay !!!

Lasse - they are going about it all wrong - but I'm okay to wait the extra week - even though I have no intention of using the straps they are fixing.

BUT, come on Beeline, you must have known the 28th wasn't going to happen for shipping. So why wait for your customers to be expecting their beelines through the post and then make the announcement that they are not even in the warehouse yet?

Communication is everything - and in my opinion you are doing a terrible job!

Hi There has anyone had their Beeline Moto delivered since the last update that said they were imminent, because I am damn sure I have heard nothing from them. The customer service is poor and not improving!!!!

Apparently they are hitting the warehouse this week, and will start shipping next week. Communication is terrible.

Indeed. Silence. Really poor. I just don't understand their philosophy. I get the vibe that some of us are not happy with all the delays, but it really is aggravated by the lack of communication.

If they are still on a boat coming from China, held up in customs, in the warehouse, whatever don't tell us they will be here this week and then go silent!

The latest response from the team as recieved today:-

Would now appear that you and I may not even be in the second wave of deliveries as there are now more than two batches, is there no end to the poor information flow?

    Hi Anthony,

Apologies for the delay - we've been as frustrated as you by it but we have of course wanted to make sure everything is right.

I've just been arranging shipment of the next batch of plastic ones coming over next week. If you're in that batch we'd hope you'd have it towards the end of next week or early the week after. If in the final batch, that should only be a week or so behind.

The first customers have already received theirs and are really enjoying them so we hope you'll find it worth the wait.

    Thanks,
    Tom (co-founder)
